I was a direct2drive customer. Over the last several years I have purchased over $500 in games through direct2drive. Now since direct2drive became gamefly it turns out 70% of the games I purchased are not available. I was told they notified members to download their games from direct2drive before the move. Although I never received an email suggesting this I did have many of the games downloaded and stored on a usb drive. However I cannot install them because direct2drive had an application added to all the games that they supplied that required a new activation code every time a game was installed. This means that even the people who did download their content before the move will not be able to install it. As I have receipts for the products I purchased and the company cannot provide those products I view this as a breach of contract. Gamefly support staff were cordial and attempted to be helpful but could do nothing to assist me. Now it would hardly be cost effective to hire an attorney to press the issue with Gamefly. However my attorney said if I could find more people who also have this problem he might be able to do something in a class action suit. Anyone interested in joining this suit can contact me at john.
