First I would like to say to anyone who has HFC, I feel sorry for you. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. I received my monthly statement today. It said there was a payment reversal done to my account dated back in Nov. 2011 for an amount that I dont even pay. Keep in mind these statements come out monthly and in Dec nothing there was nothing on my statement for this amount being paid to my account on my statement. I called them today and spoke with Cust Service Rep Sam. He said the only thing he could see is that the acct wasnt past due (which I already knew) and that a payment reversal is when an acct needs to be adjusted and a credit needs to be given. He went on to say he doesnt understand why a reversal was done.

These statements he said are sent out before the payments have been posted. Again he kept saying our acct wasnt past due. Then he said on Dec. 30 he said a check was made to a Mortgage Corporation Acct. When I asked what Mortgage Corporation Acct was all he could tell me was something to due with HSBC. I tried to tell him over and over that I have nothing with HSBC. At this time I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being placed on hold for about 5 mins, I reached Ryan. He explained to me that the account again is not past due and what happened is someone made their mortgage payment to HSBC in Nov. And it was posted in error to our acct so they had to do the adjustment and post it back to the right acct. My next question was why is my acct showing a past due amount. He said he doesn't understand and that was a good question.in the meantime I told him in Dec. I received a statement saying my next payment wasnt due until 3 and this statement shows the next payment was due 2. Again I asked him why it was showing a past due amount of 172.60 he said he doesnt know. Ryan said he does know if I make my regularly scheduled payment in Feb. The next statement should show our acct being normal. He said he apologizes for getting me so upset. I told him he doesn't even know how upset I am because last yr, while I was at work I had 2 people from HFC call me at work and tell me our acct was going to collections for non payment. I said our acct wasnt late and hung up on them. A few mins later is when I recieved the second call saying the same thing. Do you know how embarrassing this is?

I know our acct wasnt late and could show proof. We always pay our acct through our bank. I came home wrote a letter to the Corporate Office and explained what happend to me and the names of the two people who called me. To this day I have not received a phone call from anyone at HFC letting me know the outcome or what happened. Not even an apology. I wrote several emails and made several phone calls since then and couldn't get anywhere with anyone I talked to. When I would call the Customer Service number asking for their Corporate Office phone number I would get the same response from everyone. I am sorry we do not have their number but I can give you an address to write them. Has anyone else had problems with HFC they care to tell me about? If anyone is thinking about going to HFC or HSBC, all I can say is Good Luck and look out because down the road you will have problems.
