My mother had a phone call on the above date. Saying that tucan clains could get her some money back from a ppi she is a 70 year old woman in poor health and she thought they were from her bank and was checking her account so she gave her bank details and within 10 minuets they had taken £249.99 out of her account. I phoned them 5 days later to say there was no point in carrying out there search as mum had never had a loan or morgage and they agreed to send the money back by cheque. We are still waiting 9 months later. I have got all letters from when this started to now. The CAB are also invoved. On friday 13/1 mum had a phone call from tucan claims to say that they had put the money into her account but its not in her account as we have checked. They have now said it is being held somewhere untill its claimed. My mum s bank cant trace it. Katie from tucan said they would send a recetpt to prove they have paid it but its been a week now and we havent recieved anything from them. I am so angree that they are allowed to do this to elderly people. Its always costing my mum money due to phone calls made to them. As far as i am concerned the company should not be allowed to get away with this and be closed down
