My name is Delphia Duncan, (Personal Information Removed) and i would get a responce from you about this matter. My husband anawered the phone and a woman asked to speak to Charlie. She was told that charlie passed away 13 years ago. She said that she was calling from Att long distance service to offer a lower rate on our service. The phone was kept after Charlie passed on but was changed into my name several years ago so my husband didnt think anything was wrong. He agreed to the saving of money and the last part of the conversation was to verify that he could agree to the change to the servive. The lady asked his name and birthdate to vrify the change. He told me about the event and i told him that something didnt seem right. I called ATT the next business day and asked if they were soliciting by phone and told the circumstances and they assured me they did not do it! Today i recieve mail from Affordable long distance stating that my service will be changed from att to them in a few days. I called ATT and it had already been changed!!! First of all, how did this happen and who at ATT allowed it to happen. I am angry about this and told them so. Lady said that she had handled several of these lately. I am now back with ATT where i have been for many many years. I was told to complain to FCC about this matter. Please stop these frauds from happening! This is a scam any way you look at it.
