I bought a Traxxas e - revo brushless edition with castle creations mamba monster motor and esc it cost shipping and all $858.65. I got it in the mail 12/30 from traxxas, in the box it comes with 2 batteries and a controller. So i charge the bateries and go outside and i turned it on and ran it up and down the street one time and it stopped working so i called traxxas on that following monday, they said there is nothing they can do for me because it has an esc problem, wich is handled by castle creations. So i called castle creations and they told me it was a fluke accident, that it only happens to a very few of these things and they would be happy to replace it for me but they are out of stock and wont have any for 3 to 4 wks. I said to hell with it and i was waiting. Well i got tired of waiting i gave them the bennefit of the doubt and went to my local hobby store and bought a new mamba monster esc that cost $160. I had the hobby store solder the wires for me and hook it up to my car. I got home charged the batteries again that it came with and went outside turned it on and ran it up the street and back down the street. It got about 80 feet down the road and burst into flames, i had to run over there and put the fire out so my whole car wouldnt go up in flames. This was on a saturday traxxas and castle creations are closed. Monday morning roles around and i call castle creations first and tell them what happend, and the guy there is like what do you want me to do about it, so i told him i want another new esc on the way because this one just caught on fire. I then called traxxas to tell them what happend and that the esc thing was anything but a fluke accident they basically sold me a $800 paper weight and i need them to do something about this. They told me they could do nothing about it, it is not there problem and to call castle creations. Well here is my problem castle creations is still going to be 3 to 4 weeks before they can send my warranty replacements and that might not even fix this problem sense this is actually a huge problem for castle creations and it is not cool. I paid almost a thousand dallors for this thing and i have only played with it one time, and it has never worked sense then, if you go to best buy and buy a flat screen tv and bring it home and plug it in and it turns on for like 5 minutes and quits working you can go back to best buy and get another tv so why wont traxxas just take my car back and give me a different car i havent even had this thing for 2 wks and they basically told me to go screw my self because there is nothing they can do.
