Looked at my account and $30 was charged on Jan. 12th as an echeck without authorization. I called the 877 number on the 'details' part of my online bank account and it was answered by an 'indian' sounding person, as in India, and told her the details. She said it was a fee charged for submitting an online app for a payday or cash loan. I had on the 9th. Submitted 2-3 requests for a short term loan. Somehow, they had my email address and name, city state on the 'echeck'. After being put on hold she informed that after talking to a supervisor, that they 'would' issue a full refund and my account would then be closed. She said to 'rest assured' that I'd have my $30 back within the max. Allowed time of 15 days.
I'm calling my bank, as it still sits in the pending and am going to pay the 'stop pay' unless my bank will waive this fee. I figure I'd rather the bank earn a fee than some scam company get the money.
