When I purchased my new iPhone 4s the salesman at the ATT store suggested I send my old iPhone 3gs to Flipswap. They told me that we could get as much as $170.00 for the old phone if in "like new" condition. I have the print out from the ATT store that says this. I just got a check from Flipswap for $34.00. My phone was checked over by the ATT guy and pronounced to be in excellent condition.
Although the Flipswap Trade-In Program Terms state that I have to accept whatever they give me for the phone, I believe I have been scammed by not only Flipswap but by ATT.
I took the $34 Promotion Card that I received for the phone, to the ATT store and they said that they were contracted with Flipswap to provide the trade-in service and that they, ATT, could do nothing about it.
I believe that ATT has not only known for a long time that their customers are being scammed, but they refuse to do anything about it.
Is there any governmental agency that will look into this and make it right???
