American First I received a bad loan from NVR. It was sold to ASC. ASC services of my loan has been unbelievable. I had a death of an immediate familiy breadwinner, and a loss of two jobs. I received a grant for $50,000 from Marylands Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program of which Ihad to turn in volumens of documentation for. ASC ignored all attempts at this money being committed to the balance of my loan. This assistance would have helped me catch up with my balance due and put me onthe right track to catchiing up with my loan. I had finally gotten another job and trying toput my life back in order. ASC wrote a letter to Emergency Mortgage Assistance tellng them I did not turn in the correct documentation over a three month period that I was asked to do so so they could not accept the money. This was a lie as I had confirmed all documents each time I sent them in. This went on for almost four months. I have letters and documentation of sending in what is asked for. They ask for one think then change the description of that one thing saying you didnot fill it out right even after following the instructions from the loan representative. I have had to suffer for almost two years because the loan representatives who for almost two years have either given me wrong information, requested it incorrectly, or waited too long to process what I sent so I would have to send it all over again. Why would ASC turn down $50,000 to help someone with their mortgage particularly when they are gainfully employed after a long term of hardship, has two jobs and can prove repayment with a modified loan? My mortgage was up to $3,0000 and some. The interest went down and it changed to $2,500., The house turned upside down and hardships occurred so I asked for a modification. They modified it to the same thing it was after adding extra fees. So, EMA, came later with the $50,000 that they would not accept. Why? This is more than many would ever have to offer.
