I was contacted by a women (after I had been trying to obtain a loan online and with my bank) saying "You have been approved for our EPC platinum credit card it will improve your credit score the limit is 5,500.00 and if you make a purchase for that month of about $400.00 your minium bill for that month will be $20.00, there is a one time fee of $99.00 and the credit card will be sent to you within 5-7 buisness days, we have recieved your bank account information from our online site that you requested a loan from and we are trying to assist you with builiding/improving your credit." I thought it was legitimate she had my bank account information already and I even told her "wow what a blessing now I can afford Christimas gifts for my children!" The card never came in the amount was deducted out of my account the next day, I was given a contact number that never gets answered and says their mail box is full. So instead of thinking I was going to be able to get my kids christmas gifts by spending $99.00 on a credit card that was going to improve my credit, I ended up spending more money I didnt have and ended up being scammed. I contacted my bank after seeing several online postings of the scam and was told I had to close that bank account and open another and it was possible I wont be reimbursed, because I authorized the transaction. I feel so cheated and ignorant right now!
