Received an invoice for a trademark "processing fee" from United States Trademark Registration Office in December. This is the same invoice others have reported receiving during this timeframe. It contains correct information for the trademark registration number and looks official, having bar codes, etc.
Once you have registered your trademark and have been notified of Acceptance of Statement of Use, I believe it is good for 10 years with no fees involved. Those who are reaching the 10-year timeframe will be particularly succeptible to this scam. I have received other similar invoices in the past and they are bogus!
Shame on these scammers. I wish the federal government would go after them. Thank you to those who run this website and to all those who take the time to file reports!
