I was approached in August regarding working with Linda Ritter as an Independant Contractor to sell online advertising, and vacation marketing services to individuals. At that time I declined, she then opened J and L Consulting, which shortly thereafter went bankrupt.in January of a mutual acquaintance approached me again with the concept of providing marketing services for Linda Ritter. When I met Ms Ritter, she was extremely friendly and was overly cordial to the point it made me uncomfortable.
At that time, I did develop a website format for AdvertMarketing and Utopia Timeshare.in addition, I put it under my pre registered domain name www.manifestdestinyonline.com. During this time I was to meet Ms Ritter at her home or in my home to go over details, she did put her arm around me several times and make comments as to my breast size and long legs, which I dismissed as just being friendly. I quit my job and went to work full time for AdvertMarketing as an Independant Contractor.
Linda Ritter and her daughter Jenifer Landers opened up the AdvertMarketing office, located at 5022 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey, Florida 34652 in the end of January. I also put together a power point presentation so that Linda and Jenifer could acquire additional financing for their business. Linda would often call me early in the mornings or later at night saying things like "How you doing honey" talking about things that were not quite businesss related.
I was not only doing sales work getting paid on commission only, I also assisted with forms and contracts, customer service, acquiring leads as well as assisted in painting and preparing the office for occupation. For all this additonal assistance I was given one check for $100.00. Linda very shortly thereafter insisted I sign a contract with her, I glanced over it briefly and signed it, but never received a copy of it, I did trust her and never thought of it again.
On Wednesday May 19th, I received an email from a friend of mine who was looking for assistance marketing his telecommunication services, he also happened to host my website for free www.manifestdestinyonline.com. I forwarded this email to AdvertMarketing, since Linda Ritter was also talking about getting involved in outsourcing for appointment setting I thought he offered an ideal platform. Linda Ritter was very enthusiastic about the project when I got to the office that morning and asked me to get more details.
On May 22nd a meeting was called at 12:30. We were told that our new mandatory required hours in the office would be from 11am to 7pm, and two - four hour Saturdays per month, no exception. As an independant contractor and being paid on commissions only, I have a right to set my own work hours. I voiced this to her, and she said, "If you dont' like it, there is the door, you are replacable, so I left.
Today my friend with the telecommunications company told me that he got a call today from someone at AdvertMarketing, a Linda Ritter and she told him that I stole from the company and that I ran an escort service from there! I had previously voiced to her via email that I would prefer to work from home, but she has told me she no longer needs my services.
She is now telling me she will be sending my last two paychecks to me and they'll be for minimum wage. (btw I only recieved one check for $171.00. The commissions she owes me is approximately $971.00. I never punched a timeclock while I was there, how will she figure my $5.35 per hour anyway?
Linda Ritter is extremely moody. She has a terrible temper and has a lot of friends in and around this County. All I want is what is due to me. My commissions, and $100 per month for the past two months for the addtional services I have provided. I also want her in someway reprimanded for the sexual innuendos I endured as well as slandering my name. Do I have a case?
