I was contacted by phone - Brian Hilton from First Class Resale informed me that he had a buyer for my timeshare, if I was interested in selling it - said a family from Canada wanted it and had put $10,000 in escrow to purchase it for $19,000. Sent me a sales contract, supposedly signed by the family representative and persons from First Class Resale. -Requested that I send the lawyers' fees for preparing the closing documents ($1500), and that I would receive the money by Fed Ex within a day or two. I was issued receipts for the money I sent. The instructions were to send the money by Green Dot Money Packs (a PayPal Co.) I did so - then I was told that the Fed Gov. Required that they withhold 10% for taxes ($1898.00), which they also requested by money packs. Again I received receipts (via email - everything was done by e-mail). Then they said that the check was mistakenly made out for $21,000 and requested that I send $2000.00 to correct the error, claiming that they could not reissue the check for the correct amount of $19,000. I protested this action, but was told they would just have to cancel the transaction - could not issue another check. I said no, and was told that they would just have to cancel the transaction. I could get my money back within 30 days, which they guaranteed in the bill of sale document. However, they then told me, I would not get all of my money back, since it would be my decision to cancel the deal. Needless to say, I sent the additional $2,000 assuming I would get the check for $21,000. I waited 2 days, and called Brian Hilton. He told me that the check had gone to the wrong house, and been returned, but would be re-sent by Fed Ex the next day. I called Fed Ex and was told that no package had been delivered on my street for the past several weeks. I called Brian Hilton (Personal Info Removed) and got the answering machine. I left message that Fed Ex said there was no package delivered on my street for some time. I have not heard from him since. I left many messages, but never got a return call. The date of the sales agreement was 11/7. The address (fake, no doubt) is 38 Pine St., Orlando, FL 32801. Company name is First Class Resale. Documents were sent to me, signed, via email. I returned the documents, signed by my husband, via Fax #407-792-4201. Email address for company was stated as FirstClassResale @gmail.com.
