My husband recently had surgery and required new glasses to improve his eye sight; therefore, we decided to return to Lenscrafters at the Charleston Mall, Charleston, WV, because of the previous experience. Realizing it was a holiday weekend, New Years, we called to ask if they were open. The salesperson said they were closing early but were very busy. I told them it would be at least three o'clock before we were able to arrive since we were at least 1 1/2 hours away. We were told to drive in because "at this point we will have difficult closing any earlier that 3:00 P.M.". We arrived a 2:50 P.M. Looked around and was approach by the salesperson saying we are closing at 3:00. When we told them our story, he said they could not have the glasses ready today. We again told the salesperson we realize this because the lens would have to be order based on our past experience. He again, now mind you, had a full lobby of customers and each counter had customers waiting on customers, was told to go to Vision Works in the mall. He lowered the gate just enough so people inside could get out after ducking under the gate and just enough to allow other customers to realize they were closing, while we decided exactly what to do. (The gate was not closed when we arrived). We preferred to stay with Lencrafters however, after this experience it was difficult. We decided to go to Vision Works! It was wonderful. The saleperson were extremely busy, but we realized quickly, there were others there from Lenscrafters as well. We did have to wait, but it was well worth it. It took 2 weeks to receive our purchase, picked them up last night, but, we are extremely happy with the quality of the glasses and the customer service. Thank you Lenscrafters for directing us to them. We will continue to give them our business.in fact, after spending $550.00 on my husbands glasses, I also took them my prescription; in approximately 6 months I will do the same for my son. Again, we appreciate your help!
