Hp does nt honor ext warranties once purchased. I am retired w/a dr.in mgt. And free time on phone. From 6 to 9 pm 4 agents at HP customer service and tech support refused to honor an ext warranty purchase I purchase by credit card on 3/8. Forced to accept refund for alleged wrong warranty they sent me. Would not credit toward my purchase of correct warranty. Once i accepted refund my laptop out of warranty for 11 days. Now only warranty service for tech support available for $189 online. No hardware or sticky keys service parts available under new warranty. BUT oh we can fix for $250 if u mail it to us at HP. No guarantees. Heck. I went out and bought a new laptop for $350 with a warranty. Been online four hours spreading the bad news HP is in trouble when this service happens. Sell your stock now and email friends what is happeneing. Ck HP consumer complaints there are thousands of negative comments and not one good. Wish i had gone online HP will never get any school system business again that i have any say, univs or public schools. No wonder they sell cheaply. Use it a year and throw it away. DO NOT buy HP products. Read online customer reviews not paid reseach firms. Wonder why my HP acted up after an HP download within 2 weeks of warranty expiration? They can tap in anytime. Don
