My mom passed away in August and as her executor, I tried to get Bank of Amercia to transfer the title of the mortgage to my brother who lives and owns the house. I wrote more than 3 letters to them and both I and my brother called many times for the past 5 months to explain that my mom passed away (I sent my mom's death certificate 5 months agowhich they confirmed). Today, the Bank of America debt collection department called me indicating that the mortgage payment for this month is 5 DAYS late. According to them, the payment is due 1st of the month and after the 1st, it is considered LATE... I tried to explain to them that my mom passed away and my brother is now making the payment. I also told them they should call him directly and talk to him instead of calling me and asking me when and HOW he is going to make the payment. Both I and my brother have been explaining the same thing over and over every time we call or someone from BOA calls but it seems as though they have a poor way of documenting the information. I keep reminding them every time I talked to someone from BOA but next time someone calls again, I have to repeat all over.in fact, I received 2 calls today and had to explain the same thing three hours after I explained to the first caller... I'm really getting frustrated and don't understand how a company like this can be in business when they have no clue of what they are doing.
