MWI HomeWorks, MWI PremierHealth Plus, MemberWorks Inc ripoff, unauthorized charges, partial reimbursement, no services just charges, never signed up, information was sold to this company

I found on my bank statement where MWI*Connections had charged me $139.95. They got my information from when I had ordered a gift for my wife off the television. This product cost me approximately $40, which was paid.

When I called my bank to report this charge (USAA), They gave me the phone number to call this company to receive a refund. I called the company and was greeted by a foreign person who asked for my phone number. After I told him my problem, he immediately tried to change the subject by offering me products. He also tried to sell me the very package that I had supposedly ordered before, which I was charged for. The way i found out this was the package is because he later told me he was sending out the package I was supposed to receive again, and when I asked what it was he explained in detail the exact package he tried to sell me.

I continued to demand I wanted my $139.95 back, and he continually responded with "sir, i apologize, but let me tell you about another great deal...". Continuously I told him all I wanted was my money back, and then he said he canceled my membership and would give me a partial refund. I said I will accept nothing more than the full refund, and he insisted all he could do was issue me a partial of $118.10. I reminded him this was an unauthorized transaction and I will go as far as I need to in order to recieve back my money.

Again, he tried to sell me something else. I asked him again what he was going to do about the money. He told me again he has canceled my membership, and I asked him how he could canceled something I never signed up for. I told him I never agreed, accepted or signed anything. I Emphasized I will report this unauthorized transaction, and he then apologized, told me he would give me a partial refund of $118.10, and then had the nerve to offer me another item!

At this point, I was beyong mad. Trying to control my temper but unable to control my tone of voice, I demanded that I speak with a supervisor. He responded with "yes, sir" and asked me if I would hold. I told him he had better hurry.

After waiting about 2 minutes, another man got on the phone with me. I believe he was named Christopher. I told him the situation and how all his representative would do was try to sell me something else. He told me he would refund my money in the next 3-5 business days. I asked him the amount the refund would be, he said $139.95. I told him I would be expecting not a penny more by the next wednesday (this was thursday) and he said ok. I then hung up and called back my bank.

They told me that since I had cleared the problem with the company, I was not able to report a dispute. What made me mad was that they would not place the funds into my account to cover other transactions that would go through to keep them from bouncing.

The next day, my cell phne check had bounced because of this. My bank charged me a$25 NSF fee, not to mention charges from my cell phone company.

This morning, I checked again for any more transactions. MWI had placed funds back into my account, but guess how much?

$118.10.

I would like to charge them for all the fees I recieved and the money they still owe me. What can I do?

This is a company that has been reported many times before and sued a number of times.
