RE: Ashley Furniture Home Store
@ 120 Commerce Blvd
Oxford Valley, Pa 19030

Dear Retail Billing Department

To whom this letter may concern,

We, Ulysses and Anna A Davila; purchased furniture from the above store on October 01.
On October 11th we received the furniture @ 7pm that evening. We did not have time to inspect the furniture,
due to the time scheduled by the furniture company for 7pm. Though, we saw a few scratches with the naked eye.
We decided to wait till the next day 10/12 to inspect the furniture. During the inspection we noticed that
the recliner was Leaning to the left which caused the leather to wrinkle and create creases. The love seat came
with a slid across the bottom of the sofa which at the time we did not notice till started inspecting the entire
product, even the bottom. The same love seat (the front panel) was loose and the staples were coming out, and the scratches were now visible around the wood itself. The other love seat also has a slit on the bottom as well
but (smaller) also the front plate is loose causing the staples to come out when you sit on them. I called on that day 10/12, the Furniture Company, and they gave me a number to call Customer Service @ 800-257-2507-x52
which is the same number as the direct number 1-732-355-9200, that was given by Jeanine, who answered the 800 number and decided to answer this one as well, and tried to play it off by saying, that she wasn’t the person
I had just spoken too. That really made me laugh because she thought I was as stupid as her and figured I wouldn’t recognize her VOICE. Why lie to cover her tracks instead of facing her actions! I called and was told that a
place called furniture doctors would call me within 48 hours.

On 10-20 I called Jen (Jeanine), the customer rep for furniture doctors and an appointment was scheduled
for 10-25 between 10-12pm. The doctor that came would not identify himself with proper identity instead he identified himself as the “FURNITURE DOCTOR”; I started to explain and show him everything and he stated
“one thing at a time”. He wanted to take the pictures first, so I let him take pictures and carry on about himself
and then he asked a question, what’s the problem? So I started telling him about everything that was going on
and then he said he will take pictures and report back to the store, and at the same time he would check to see if
the set I got was equally damaged or in better shape to the one in the stores by comparing them. If so he said either
way he would give me a call that evening to tell me what would happen. He never called! I called the 27th of October at 9:33am, spoke to customer service Jeanine; I explain that the doctor came and told me he would call that evening and I have not heard from him since, she said that he was not supposed to call me anyway. I said it’s what he said I am just trying to find out what was the status on my furniture? She gave me such a hard time I wanted to cry and
scream louder so they would understand. Only I had enough and ask to speak to her supervisor; and she
gave me a number (732-355-9200-x25) and when I called I spoke to Lisa at x-23 @ 9:55 am on the 27th of October.
Now its 11-09, I receive a replacement recliner wrapped up in plastic wrap, the men sat it on the floor so,
I sat on it and pull back to see if it was doing the same as the other one and, just as I wondered it did
so I told them to take it back.

He replied to me by saying “call the company”. I was to frustrated to deal with any one right away so
I called the next day 11-10 and spoke Ross (Rosyln) at the furniture store to inform them that the replacement
Chair was damaged and she told me to call Customer Service again… I have never in my life, ever went through
this horror of unprofessionalism with anyone. The company does not want to understand that I no longer want the furniture because of the frustration and the poor products with defects that are being sold at the price of $3,318.07,
and not being responsible for those defected furniture.

Ms. Roslyn stated; “ It’s your credit that will be ruined and / or; we have a policy we go through”.
Their policy makes us consumers wait weeks and for me it’s now a month to repair or replace the damaged goods.
They have breached their contract from the date I started complaining about the defective 2nd replaced chair.
I feel as though they should take the defective chair for the second time, when at the time I sat on the chair to
make sure that it wasn’t damaged. I showed them the defective area on the chair and told them to take it
back. Immediately I was told that it can’t be done, to call the company. Well you know what I AM DONE WITH
THIS BULLSHIT. I have now received the bill from Wells Fargo and now they want to be paid, and I am having
the same problem but with attitude and ignorant people like ASHLEY furniture. I have not enjoyed my furniture at
all and WILL return it to the furniture store even if I have to leave it in their front door along with the authorities.
This is crazy and I am not putting up with this. I will call the media and take them to court even if is JUDGE JUDY!
I WILL see you in court unless my money is returned and your furniture is OUT of my HOME. I have yet to
receive a response about their damaged and defective products. Now, I will called Wells Fargo and below
contacts to dispute against, Ashley Furniture AKA: Value City Furniture, consumer ETHICS.
I don’t want furniture DOCTORS to come to my home because they are very unprofessional, they won’t identify
themselves, as he was very rude in my home to me. It was told that parts for the defective love seats were being MAILED!!! Then a furniture Doctor would need to be called AGAIN to schedule an appointment that will make
me wait another 2 weeks; so that they would come out again and fix it. NO! That’s not going to happen,
I DON’T WANT IT….

Please be advised that I no longer wish to keep the Furniture or Anything pertaining to ASHLEY FURNITURE AKA / VALUE CITY FURNITURE STORE, and want you to come and pick it up as soon as possible.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.

Sincerely;

Ms. A Davila
