Hixson Autoplex Monro LA
Consumer Report

Received e-mail from there with a choice of 3 Ford F-150 trucks which had in access of $4500.00 in rebates. The top of the line ($32,) truck had a selling price of just over $27,500.00
Arived at dealership and was greeted bt internet sale manager who introduced us to the salesman who would work with us. Before we even started I explained to him I had filed a previous bankruptcy and wasn't sure if I could even qualify for a loan. He asked what trucks I was interested in and I told him the ones sent via e-mail from the internet manager.in the meantime they had brought mt van which I would be trading in if all went well in the back to evaluate the trade in value.
The salesman asked if the loan could be obtained what truck would I want. Naturally I would have gone for the $32K truck w/all the bells for the selling price of just over $27.5K. He took us out to the lot and imediately said "that truck there has everything you wanted, but thought it was to small for us, " and brought another truck for us to test drive. It was NOT one we went to look at and I mentioned that there was not items on this truck that were on the truck I intended to purchase. Not once, but several times I told him this. When we arrived back at dealership he asked what I thought of the ride. I told him it was nice, but not what we had come for. He asked if the loan could be approved if I would buy a truck that day or not and I said yes. We go inside and they start the paperwork.
Salesman comes asks iif I need a cosigner could I get one. I said I didn't want one, but he said as a backup if I could get one. I called family who knew I would ask them to do this. I told my wife lets just get the van and go home as I have been on crutches for several months and had been at this dealership several hrs. Already and needed to get off my feet. On the way to tell the salesperson we want our van back, he comes around the corner all smiles and says "how's it going to feel going home in a new truck". Naturally we were excited as we did not know if we could get approved and we were thanking them for all they done.
We go to finance manager who informs us we'd need to put $1200.00 down andwhat the payment would be. I originally said no, but my wife knowing how long I wanted a truck said to go for it. I explained I only get pd. Twice a month (VA Disability&Social Security) and if they'd hold the check it would be a deal. They agreed. We proceed to the front door to get the truck, and what they brought around was the truck we test drove. It is now closing time and I told them this is not the truck I bought. They hurriedly washed the truck and told me to come back next day to have it cleaned better. I asked the person who cleaned the truck to give me the sticker from the window as I always save these so when I trade in I have most info. Needed there on that sheet. She removed it and brought it into the dealership office that was the last I had seen it.
Next morning I return to dealership to straighten this switch of vehicles. I was told a deal is a deal and I got what I pd. For. I asked to see the owner, he was not available. I told them I'm not from here and I'm not letting them do this to me. On my way out Finance manager calls me into his office and said they had put the wrong vin # (last 3 digits) on the application and had drawn up a new contract. Come to find out it wasn't the last 3 # it was for a totally different truck. They then bring the truck I was now to pay for, plus I needed to write another check for $800.00 to be held with other check till the 1st of Aug..
This new truck was a joke. It was a straight work truck. It's selling Price was just ove $25k before the rebates of $4500.00. These rebates were not even given and the loan amt not changed accordingly. I was getting nowhere with the bank or the dealership and I stopped the payment of $2,000.00. I was then served a civil suit in that amy. I countered, and 4 days before court date Hixsons lawyer calls and dropped the civil suit, which thru my counter out. This issue has continued since this sale and NO HELP was afforded. It got to point I refused to make the payments and my truck is now in repossession. My Identity has been compromised and it all started the day after I stopped the two checks to the dealership. On my statements from the bank they had charged several fill ups for the vehicles they said I bought, withdrew several amts. Of money in a very short time from same bank different branch in the amt to cover thier so called loss in the civil suit.By doing so my normal bills were not pd. Ontime and my credit report shows negatives, slow pays, etc. This dealership wrote BBB and withdrew it's dealership of all responsibility in Monroe, but kepted their main branch in Alexandria LA. My last contact with them I was told the internet manager, salesperson, and the finance manager no longer work there. They refuse any calls I make there.
I would really like the opportunity to show original documentations as well as insurance dated material with wrong nin #. My contact # is (Personal Info Removed). Any help you can give to correct both this issue and my credit reports would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You Kindly,
Richard Colletti
