When my wife and I moved into the house we live in on December 15,1967 we bought a Kenmore all Refrigerator and a matching Kenmore all Freezer. These two products endured extremely well for thirty nine and one half years. We bought the Sears Service Policy and updated it when needed and received outstanding service along the way from both the appliances and service people.
In August our refrigerator finally gave up the ghost. It was our decision at that time to replace both appliances at that time since they were built into our kitchen and wanted them to match. The logical choice after so many years of outstanding service was to buy Kenmore Products from Sears.
TERRIBLE TERRIBLE MISTAKE!!!
These two Kenmore Elite Appliances have gone out of service three times each since installation. I'm talking Big Stuff like compressors, and other parts. Not only the loss of food in the boxes, but a service man who comes out and tells you he will need to order a part which will take two days, and finally when the part comes in, they tell you they can't get a service Tech out to install it for another week. How would you like to to live out of an Igloo for three weeks? It may be fun on a camping trip, but really it isn't any fun. We have contacted Sears all the way to the top reaching deaf ears. Sears certainly will never see my business again EVER. Customer relations!!! What a joke. The really sad part is that we will be stuck with Sears and Kenmore for the rest of our lives.
