On 7/11, I filled out a grant application on line with this company to obtain money to pay bills. As I recall, there was a $1.00 application fee which I put on my Capital One Credit card. (They did not accept PayPal, which I normally would use for on-line purchases. I filled out the request form and, as they admit in an email that they sent me denying a refund, I spent 147 second at their site. I never got any response to the grant application form and could not get back onto their site because you need a password.
Nor did I realize that there was a monthly fee involved.
Each month I pay my credit card in full and it was my fault for not noticing that they were billing me $57.99 each month. 8/1 - $57.99,9/1/2100 - $7.99 and 10/1 - 57.99. I finally noticed it and called Capital One. They took the charges of and then replaced hem after getting a response from Grant Resource Center that it as in the agreement. I did not receive anything from the company - not even an acknowledgement of my initial application. I asked Capital 1 to provide me with the address, which they refused, as I wanted to contact the State Attorney General's office to report a credit card fraud. I cancelled that card number and got a new card from Capital One but they re-instated the charges on the new card. I did ask Capital 1 to ban any future charges from this company but I will have to wait and see.
