I signed on with a Debt settlemnt company to try to Negotiate My credit card debt and settle it as they Promised they would... So far I have sent them 7 payments of $595.00 of which they claim is there fee portion. I am being sued by Discover card and was told by thier litagation company. To file for Bankruptcy? I could have done that from the start for a fee of $2000. They also said that it would take 10 More Payments of $595. Before they would start acrewing Money to settle my debt? I could have settled this on my own and Paid each creditor in full in a few short years??? Can you please give me some advice as to what is the next step I should take. (personal information removed)
