20 minutes ago I visited the Union, New Jeraey Target. I must say I am impressed that the hire the mute. I have to congratulate them. I had no greet I approached the register, she didn't tell me what my total was, then when I paid she didn't tell me what my change was. Then she put all my purchases in one bag. Of course I didn't want to make her feel like I needed her to get uncomfortable so I separated my purchases myself. She was so incredibly slow that not only this whole transaction took forever but it was done in complete silence. Maybe she thought I was missing a mouth of she believed my jaw was wired shut which would be a totally valid reason since she did not look up once - clearly she was mesmerized by the mat on the ground. I waited to give her one last chance to say goodbye but I had not put the change in my purse yet when she started the next transaction and the silence continued.
