After purchasing a NEW Home our builder came out for our 45 day inspection. We presented John & Carol Hyrn (owners of West Highland Homes) our list of concerns. We were told our NEW HOME had a complete one year warranty along with a 10 year limited warranty.
John and Carol wrote down our many issues and explained the proper trades would be contacting us to perform the necessary repairs. Two days after our 45 day inspection, we recieved a letter from Carol Hryn stating most of the items would NOT be repaired as we neglected to notice these things on our final walk-through.
WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR 1 YEAR WARRANTY?
We now seem to be stuck with a new home that has water stains on the family room ceiling from when all the pipes burst broke during constructions. It seems West Highland turned off the heat and all the pipes froze.
We are also concerned of a MOLD problem in the future due to all the water soaked drywall which had not been replaced. There are numerous other items and a list could be supplied on request.
