I am writing to you to respectfully request an investigation on Ricardo Washington CEO of WGW & Associates. He was hired by me on July 17 to handle all documents regarding nonprofit management and grant proposals for The LeFrankal Williams Foundation. This included all necessary documents that is required to register in the District of Columbia as well as with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to file the 1023 Form 501 (c) (3).
To date, nothing has been done by Mr. Washington. On, Wednesday, October 13 I called the Department of Consumer Regulatory Affairs Corporation Division to have them search their database for the foundation’s name to no avail. The lady that answered the telephone advised that nothing was coming up under such name.
Please note, that Mr. Washington has been paid in full and never did any work and transactions were made there at that location. This is illegal and morally not correct. Moreover, Mr. Washington advised that everything was registered and I can start operating as a nonprofit as of Tuesday, July 19. He stated that I can send out letters of inquiry but will have to advise that I am awaiting my determination letter from IRS. Mr. Washington was paid on Wednesday, August 3 to file the 501 (c) 3 and he deposited the check on Monday, August 8 into his account.
On, Wednesday, October 13 I called the Internal Revenue Service to check on the status and the lady there advised the there were no such name in their database. She also mentioned that if he submitted the 1023 on Tuesday, August 9 it should have been in their system by now and I should have gotten a letter. Attach; please find email where Mr. Washington advised that he submitted the paper work to IRS.in addition, I have been asking him for copies of all documents since July 19 to no avail.
Nevertheless, as Mr. Washington advised I started sending out letters of inquiry and setting up meetings with organizations introducing the foundation to Law Enforcement Agencies, Associations, Lawyers, et al. To learn that Mr. Washington never filed any of the Foundation’s papers.
This has caused me a great deal of stress and humiliation. Effectively immediately, I had to cease all work until this matter is rectified. I am working very hard and diligently to ensure that Mr. Washington does not do this to anyone else. I struggled to get the money together and he bamboozled me into thinking he was a professional hard working man with two daughters. For, that reason, I trusted him and he took advantage of me. He knows how important this Foundation is to me! He knows how important this Foundation means to Crime Victims Families who cannot afford professional obituaries.
As you may know, obituaries are not cheap and are keepsakes to the family! Other agencies charges over $900.00 for what we provided to the families and that fee does not include the Thank you cards or the prayer cards that the foundation provide to the families at no cost. Please, I am begging for your assistance in this matter. Any directions you can point me in I will be ever so grateful. This is my passion to Help Crime Victims Families.
