Corporate Getaways (part of Corporate Holiday Group) advised they had sold my timeshare and they needed $2,000 to close the deal in 2-3 months. The word "guarantee" was used. I paid the $2,000 via electronic draft on July 6. On August 8 they promised that closing was scheduled for September 3. On August 29 they indicated that an additional $1500 was needed for closing - I stupidly paid that amount.
On October 20 I was advised that things were "moving along" and that I should have some paperwork within 2 weeks.
On December 15/16 Ed Bradley advised the paperwork was done but the buyers would not be available to sign until January.
That was the last I heard from the company.
On June 14 I tried unsuccessfully to contact Corporate Getaways only to find the number provided no longer worked. The Delaware Chamber of commerce advised they were no longer in business, that many complaints had been received and suggested I contact the Del. Consumer Protection Agency at the Attorney Generals office.
I will be doing that as I think this is an obvious scam.
