They Scammed me by messing with my credit! This company is a collection agency that I found on my credit report while checking it to make sure all is well. They are claiming that they are collecting for my phone company, lets call it XPHONE. So let's break it down. Firstly, I've been with XPHONE for years, and even before my current contract, my previous contract which I ended early was paid for. If not, I wouldn't have been able to resume service with XPHONE for the past 3-4 years. Additionally, I have not received any notices in the mail stating that I owe XPHONE, I have not received any notices from Plaza Associates stating that they are attempting to collect... And this has been on my credit since July! I just so happened to see it now, in October. That makes no sense. When I called them to inquire, they were attempting to get more info from me, but they had my address on file. I was given an account number, and when I called back and spoke to someone else, he was matching all sorts of other random names to the account number the first agent gave me.
