Hi - after reading a review of these products I decided to sign up to the free trial, but it was only afterwards that I realised that once the trial is done, you are effectively on a monthly subscription.
I have contacted my bank, who say they can do nothing to stop future payments, I have to deal with the companies directly. I have only been successful in emailing Lean Slim, the other email address bounced back, but they both have the same UK phone number which I will call on Monday. From doing some research I have found out that once I inform the company that the subscription/payment should be cancelled, any future payments will be considered 'unauthorised transactions'. This means that the bank has an obligation to take responsibility to investigate and prevent them.
I am hoping it doesn't come to that, and that Lean Slim and Lean Cleanse will cancel my 'subscriptions' immediately on Monday morning. I don't even want the free trial now...
Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt until I know differently, watch this space. Have totally learned my lesson with regard to recurring payments though - never again!
