The year was don't know the exact month, but anyway, My wife and i discussed consolidating our bills to one payment a month.
So we came across bank of america website that said they offer loans. After the phone call, my wife applied for the loan because she had a credit score of 800. They would not have approved me for a loan because i have filled chapter 7 bankruptcy in the year 2005.
The representative of Bank of america asked if there was any additional income, because my wife at the time only made 9.00 an hour at an eyecare place. They asked for my social to make sure i was working where i was working at. They approved my wife for the amount we needed to consolidate our bills. They told the both of us to fill out the needed paperwork by signing our names and sending it back to bank of america. They never did.
I didn't worry about my name being on the account at the time, i thought i was an authorized user, like on my wifes credit cards at that time.
To make a long story short, As the years went by, the recession happened, and my wife and i fell under hard times and couldn't afford to pay the 500.00 dollars a month payment. I was laid off and Bank of america would call us nonstop for a payment, how could we afford it?
It doesn't matter to them if your struggling to make your house payment, they want you to pull the money out of your #ss or something.
So they made payment arrangements with us, which lasted only a year. Now here's the kicker, my wife is the one who was approved for the loan! And my wifes name was on the statements for the bank of america bill. But because i was laid off, and my wife couldn't afford the 500.00 payment she filed a petition for chapter 7 bankruptcy. I found out only three month before her filing, that my name was on the account as a joint account holder, by checking my credit one day.
THAT'S Bull#T, i never signed my name to this loan. So we called to have my name removed, they finally sent me the paperwork to have my name removed and to have my wife as the primary account holder.
I faxed the information many times to them, i called bank of america and bank of america claimed they didn't recieve the paperwork. So i faxed the paperwork again with the same results.
Now at this point i'm very mad, so i sent copies of the paperwork by mail, this time in packs of three's.
Well one day i recieved a letter from bank of america, stating that the account was closed. I thought that was the end of it!
The day came and went for my wifes bankruptcy hearing, and by this day i was feeling good. But i was very wrong, This so called Bank of fraud sent me another letter, in a cowardice way, Told me that i was still Responsible for the amount, even though my wife was the person who took out the loan. And then they ended the letter with, this is our final response regarding this matter. They forwarded this to a collection agency.
Now what do i do? I need to find an attorney, because if i'm allowed, i would love to sue the piss out of Bank of america for fraudently putting my name on a loan i had nothing to do with.
Please be aware of how Bank of America works, how crooked they are about everything, i hope they go bankrupt themselves, do not bank with the BANK OF FRAUD!!!
