L.A. Fitness took advantage of my debit card information and charged me $600 AFTER I had already given them 60 days notice to terminate my membership.
I called the L.A. Fitness headquaters repeatedly and was told that it was a mistake. They even told bank of America that the money would be replaced by Friday that same week. Because L.A. Fitness took unauthorized money out of my Bank account, several other items I'd purchased earlier in the day were considered as an overdraft.
Its now 2011 and I've never seen a single dime of the money that LA Fitness stole. I did get a few hateful letters threatening to sue me & I had to retain an Atty to handle this matter. I haven't heard a word in a while. However, a friend had the exact same thing happen to him by L.A. Fitness.
This entire company is a serious scam! If you are a member, check your bank statement for any extra transactions made by LA fitness.
