Received the following email indicating I'm selected out of 7 candidates for an Executive Admin Asst position. The email did not really indicate a company or how I applied so I did a search on Google.com to find that others have received this same email and were trying to be scammed. I did find that the link that they gave me went to a employment site, Jobs.com and they requested that I upload my resume. I have applied several times on Jobs.com and know that when I apply with them that it requires that I upload my resume at the time of the application which is one thing that triggered my skeptism. Here is how the email read:
Hi,
Thank you for applying to the available position.
We have reviewed many applications and we have narrowed our selection down to five. Congratulations, you are one of the seven applicants we would like to interview at the end of next week!
Candidate Qualifications:
Energetic, self-motivated individual, excellent communication skills, punctual with strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task and work in fast pace environment. The candidate will need to perform basic administrative duties such as answering phone calls, filing, emailing, and working well with others. We will give more specific details at the interview.
Compensation and Benefits:
$12 - $16 an hour. Hours are 8:30 – 4:30 (1 hour lunch break and 2 15 minute breaks). Medical, dental, vision, disability/life insurance, tuition reimbursement, flex medical spending plan, vacation/sick days and 401K.
