I signed up for f beading class, at Bead Havne Bead store in Las Vegas, that was scheduled for 9-22-11. My friend also signed up and we were the first two people to sign up, two weeks ago. Yesterday I stopped in and asked if I couln't make the class If I could reschedule. The answer was no because the instructor does not repeat the classes. So I told the employee I didn't know if I would make the class without resheduleing a few issues that had arose in order to make the class, I informed the lady and the gentleman working that I would call them withing an hour if I was taking the class. Which I did call and said yes I would be there. I had called my friend and told her the situation and she informed that she had gone over to Bead Haven on 9-17 to ask if she could pre select her beads and was told no, that one of the owners felt she did not have enough beading expierence to take the class. Even though she informed her that I probably could help her. This of course upset her, Isn't a class given to learn a new skill, not to put you down because someone decides you can't do it. We decided to still take the class.
Two hours before the class Kim from Bead Haven called my friend and told her we were taken off the list to put two other more qualifed people (in Kins opinion) in our place. I found this out by showing up for the class because I didn't get the phone call, so I was inconvienced by driving to get there right after work. I was not only told that I was cancled, but she informed me that since I have not taken a class from them in 4 years, that she did not feel that I could finish it in the 2 hour time frame. HOW INSULTING! Why would I sign up for a class if I did not feel like I could do it. A class is to LEARN; not to be told you can't do it. Thats is not her right to pre judge me, and insult in me this manner. Who does she think she is a (God of beading). This class was rated as a 2 in difficulity. The class I took 4 years ago was a 5, and I have made many piecies of jewerly from the pattern. A store owner or employee has no right to belittle or insult any customer who decides to take a class. Why offer classes and not honor the schedule list of rules. I will not ever spend my hard earned money in Bead Haven ever again. Shoppers Beware of their Bad attiude towards their customers.
