Actors In Action (AIA) Actors Studio ripoff - denied a refund

I signed up for a weekend intensive class at AIA studios. I signed up less than 30 days before class. The class is $1000.00.

AIA passed my headshot on to a director, who is doing a short film. The director cast me in the film. The film shoots the same day as the class.

I called AIA and said i need to cancel my class because i'm shooting the same day as the class. I was told no refunds would be given as it was not AIA's policy. I asked to recieve credit and was told no. They told me it was my choice to do the film and not take the class.

I told them so you are just going to take my money? They said that there is nothing i could do except take the class i signed up for.

I signed up for the class on 8/21/03
the class is on 9/19-9/21/03
i called to cancel on 9/9/03
i was denied a refund or credit on 9/9/03
