When I called I was told that the lens I wanted was not entirely compatable with my Canon 60D and that a brand new Sigma lens was much better, for only 699$. However he was willing to give it to me for much less (previous weekend sale) and an additional employee discount (370$ in the end). I was told this was a new lens model out of Japan, Professional Edition, and much better suited to my camera. I wanted to do research on the camera. When I got off of the phone and checked my email I found that the order was placed. I contacted Sigma adirectly and asked about the supposed new lens our of Japan. I was told by a sales rep that no such "New" lens existed and that the lens they were sending me had been out since 2005. I called theDigitalHunter salesman back, who thenn assured me that the lens was a brand new high quality model and that only Sigma reps in Japan would know about. I asked for them to email me information on the lens, and was told they would do so later in the day. I never received information. I called again, asked for the info to be emailed, again told they would send it. Never got it. The next day the lens arrived. It was unwrapped, previously opened. I scanned the barcode... Was just as the Sigma sales rep told me it would be, the old 200$ model. The folks at theDigitalHunter sent me an old, previously opened lens, while stating that I was buying a brand new model ployee discount (370 in the end).
