I was pricing a Nikon Zoom Telephoto AF VR Zoom Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8D G-AFS ED-IF Autofocus Lens for my D90. Found it for about $600 less at The Digital Hunter. Supposedly had an additional discount. I went to their site and attempted a purchase, but the discount wasn't reducing the purchase price by the appropriate amount. I called and was put through to Richard. He proceeded to tell me that this lens was not for digital cameras and that he had a Sigma lens - a better lens than the one I wanted - that he'd sell me (with the employee discount) for about $1800. Little did he know that I was pricing the same Sigma lens for about $1300 on the internet while I was speaking to him. Then he tried to sell me a Nikon lens with a steel ring. I declined and told him that I wanted to stick with the original lens. He then told me that it would be about 4 weeks because it had to come from Japan. I said that was perfect because I didn't need it for a while.
Well, it's been about 4-5 weeks and no lens. Oh well. I decided to look for complaints and found this site. I have not been charged yet, but I'll still be canceling the card.
