FedEx screws up, customer screwed over

I bought a phone on Ebay that I really needed to get here last week (3/3-3/4) as my current phone was getting to be really buggy. The seller shipped it on the 25th of February and estimated delivery was right on the days I needed. 2 days with no update on the tracking and the seller contacts me: "I apologize for the delay, but I used Fedex to send it to you instead of U.S.P.S. Fedex does not deliver to military bases, so they are sending it back to me and I will send two (2) day priority. Once again I apologize for the delay and I will make every effort to get it to you by this coming Friday or earlier. Do not hesitate to ask me any questions." I reply to the sender: "I don't live on a military base. Military is the name of the road I live on." A day later, I looked it up again and saw that it was shipping via FedEx SmartPost. His reply about the 2-day priority was, "They told me it would not have shipped until Monday..." This was on Wednesday the 2nd. I've called FedEx over and over to try to get this straightened out because I desperately need the device and they won't do anything for me. I've been hung up on, spoken to like I was illiterate, and told there is nothing they can or will do for me. I simply have to wait it out until Monday, with no phone as mine completely quit working on Thursday. I will never use FedEx again. I also worked for a company that used them all the time and they constantly messed things up. I think they need to start from the very basics and fix everything they have managed to mess up. This company needs some serious help.
