I received the scam on September 6th. The plain white envelope had no return address and a Canada stamp $1.03 along with the letter saying I'd won a lottery and to. It contained the bogus check for $3550.00 to be cashed after contacting the the claim agent, in this case Jerry Morgan.
Noted is the bogus check reflects a real online bank, First Niagara, with a facsimile of their logo. On the left top of the check is the name and logo for PENROD, a flooring distributer located in Virginia Beach, VA. Obviously a scam.
