On 08/29 my wife responded to an ad on Craig's List for "2 men & a truck." We needed to move merchandise from our store in L-Burg to our garage in Columbia, TN. Mr. R. Casas came to our residence and accpeted a check for $150.00 as a deposit. His crew was suppose to come to our store @ 0730 hours on 08/31. After several hours of no-show & no-contact we finally got a hold of R. Casas by calling from a different telephone (obviously call screening). Mr. R. Casas said his crew had went to Lynchburg, TN instead of Lewisburg, TN and they had turned aroudn and was on thier way. Again after several hours and calling from a yet different telephone, I called Mr. R. Casas and told him we were going to place a stop-payment on the chaeck, he replied go ahead (I did not know he alreay cashed the check on 08/29, same day we wrote it.) I then went to Maury County sheriff's office and filed a police report #C-03962. I filed a complaint with the NAshville, TN area BBB and with the state of TN for a suspected unlicensd business and for fraud.
