I ordered a pod to be moved from NYC to San Francisco a month prior to when I needed it. They charged me almost $4,000 before the pod arrived.
On delivery day, pod arrived 30 minutes late - not a big deal. Left on time from my apartment.
Thought all was fine over the next 10 days. On the 10th day (two days before it was suppose to be delivered in San Francisco) I received a call that my pod had yet to leave NY because they had failed to secure a carrier.
I had made this reservation a month prior and when I asked why they hadn't secured a carrier they suggested it was because they had to wait until the last minute to do so. When I asked why I had not been contacted earlier they had no answer. When I asked when my pod would arrive in San Francisco they suggested possibly Monday. No one could give me a secure answer and they did nothing to make the situation run any smoother. I asked for a manager; they wouldn't let me speak with one.
Still haven't received my stuff and I'm dubious as to whether it will show up on Monday. I had to reschedule my movers to unload the pod, $160 no-parking permit for the pod delivery location and am without furniture for more days. My 70 year old mother will have to sleep on the floor until my pod arrives. We will have nothing to cook on. And our clothes supply is limited. They could care less suggesting I just have the movers come on Tuesday when they couldn't tell me what time Monday it would arrive because "those arrangements are made the day prior."
They failed in executing their business - namely, to move something from point A to B. They failed to warn me of this delay possibility early enough to be able to react (and I specifically asked if a delay like this was likely). They failed to offer resulting customer service that was at all helpful.
I will NEVER use them again and suggest no one else do so either. It's one thing to screw up and it's another to screw up and offer no support to get the resolution that is consistent with the money I paid for this service.
