I advertized a refrigerator on Craigslist and communicated with the prospective buyer on email who made up a story that the refrigerator is for a good friend and he will pay for shipment plus will send extra money as gift for his "good friend". Finally the buyer sent me a check of a much larger amount than I asked for the refrigerator and asked me to send the rest of the money to his "good friend" along with the refrigerator. I was skeptical about the whole thing and start asking people that dealt with Craigslist a lot. I was told that this is a big scam and I should not send any money or deposit the check. When I emailed back the buyer he did not answer anymore and I still have the check and bunch of emails to show.
