My wife purchased by credit card the EZ MOVES device for home furniture, as we are 77 years old. We received two of them by USPS mail without a paid invoice for the $19.95 price, plus shipping and handling weight and cost. We tried one of them, and found it unsatisfactory for our simple and easy use.
I decided to return them, and Googled "Merchandise Direct" for information. I was shocked to find Complaint Reviews on this TV advertizer. I checked my wife's credit card statement, and found a charge for the EZ Mover device (s) of $100.38! Much like the complaints and experiences I had read of others.
Based upon much advice, we decided not to contact Merchandise Direct for a refund due the costs of precious time and return shipping, but rather to file this complaint with "complaint" against a clearly fraudulent merchandizer. Perhaps we can recover our money if a class-action suit is filed in the future.
