Super 8 Motel, Nashville, TN
Consumer Report

I reserved a room online to catch an early flight to FT Hood, TX to visit friends I served in the Army with. Upon arrival that evening I was told they overbooked and if I could give them 30-40 minutes they had a room it just needed to be cleaned. No problem I said I'll wait. When I returned in 40 minutes the room still was not ready. The lady at the front desk said she could grab one set of sheets and change one of the beds in the room. I said, ok girl and grab some towels and cleaning supplies and we'll just go clean the room together. I stripped both beds and had her get linen for both. I changed out the beds while she ran to get towels etc. I went to the housekeeping room on my floor and got the cleansers and some cleaning towels. I scrubbed the bathroom and foyer and mirrors. The lady vacuumed and wiped down surfaces in the living area. She took most of the cleaning tools out with her and the dirty linen. Some towels and cleansers were left behind. It was no big deal to me I just needed a place to rest. I treated her kindly with patience and understanding.By that time it was too late to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi - which is why I booked with this motel. The next morning I asked for the room to be comped for my troubles and not being able to access the amenities they offered. The front desk lady told me we could leave my debit card open and she'd check with the manager when he came in. A couple days later my husband called from Iraq wanting to know what all the charges were from the motel. I immediately checked my account and saw three seperate charges totaling $260.00. I began making calls. The headquarters and guest services made reports and promised I'd hear back with in a certain matter of days. At the end of a very frustrating day, I finally got the manager on the phone. He looked up the account and informed me I'd been charged for smoking in the room, a missing blanket and the room fee itself. I told him over and over none of those things happened. I asked if my room was billed by accident, maybe it was another room they meant to bill. I asked if someone could have stole my card number. He was rude and uncooperative. He was unwilling to reverse any charges. He said he'd check with the supervisor and get back to me. That was all last Friday and I have yet to hear anything from anyone at Super8. I'm disgusted and shocked at how I've been treated and charged for things I didn't do. I just want my money returned. I feel this is a criminal action.
