My daughter was given an estimate of 800 dollars. My son-in-law went to talk to the owner not knowing she had been there. They gave him an estimate of 648 dollars to move from Lady Lake Florida to Clearwater Florida. They had 13 pieces of furniture and maybe 25 boxes. When they arrived at the final destination, they wanted 1033 dollars and they refused to unload the truck until they got their money.
I have since found out that this is common practice for this company. Don't get burned. Get several estimates in writing and stay away from Family Movers.
