I had just bought a new flat screen Tv for my bedroom. I already have Directv for my living room so I thought I would add it to my bedroom. That is where my problem begins.
On January 17 a "Tech " came to my house to install a box in my bedroom. He looked no older than 20 years of age and had no clue as to what to do kept looking at the orders and scratching his head. He then proceeds to tell me that he will run the cable wire over my bathroom door and out the side of the house. This was unacceptable to me. Then he wants to rip up my new wall to wall rug or drill a hole throught the floor again unacceptable. Then he says it can't be done and needs to cancel the order. He gives me a woman that he called at Directv who then states that she will send a expericned "tech" or superviosr to my home on a Saturday January 29 between the hours of 8-12. Ok fine I think this is it it will be taken care of, well wrong again.
On Saturday January 29 I wait and wait and wait at 11:30 I get a call saying he is running late and will be at my house within an hour. Then I get an automated call telling me 2 to 3 hours so I wait. At 3:00 pm I call and am told the "tech" will call me. He does and now states he will be at my house 6-7 pm well I do have a life and tell him NO I have plans. I then get rescheduled again this time on February 10.
I tell my brother-in-law who installs the wire to my bedroom in one day on a Sunday I cancel the order to install and order a receiver to come by mail. Another bad mistake.
I then get the box on Tuesday February 1 and brother in law goes to install and the picture keeps fading in and out he tries his Directv box at my house it works fine. So guess what the receiver is bad. So I call again and was told we can't send you a new box until a "tech" looks at it. So I am back to that another 'tech' coming to my house again today between 8-12 and I just called and guess what he hasn't showed up yet.
My quesiton I would have never believed that just adding Directv to my bedroom would become such a NIGHTMARE I am getting ready to tell Directv to forget the whole thing.
