I must say I have to agree with the last story written about DirecSat they are low life CROOKS!!! I myself work for this low life company only because their are no jobs right now. I think they know that and that is why they steal from us. They gave us handhelds to activate the customer's boxes and they charge us "the installer" for turning on customers boxes, why should I have to pay to turn on their boxes. They are always STEALING money from our checks, Oh you showed up 10 minutes late that will be $100.00 or a customer turned the TV from channel 3 to like channel 78 Oh that will be $60.00. I leave my phone number with the customer's to call me if they have a problem and my phone never stops ringing. Now if I didn't leave my number DirecSat would be charging $60.00 every time and it is always stupid stuff they pick up the remote and change the channel other then 3 and they forget how to put it back. Here is a good one, I had a customer move his room around and he broke one of the wires this had nothing to do with what I did 45 days later and the LOW LIFE DIRECSAT charged me $60.00 for a service call!
Here is a another good one, a receiver went bad nobody's fault just a bad receiver and POW the tech got charged $60.00 it was nothing he did just a bad receiver. What low lives!!! Here is another good one, say you have a HD box in your living room and a standard in your bedroom. Now you go out and buy new HD TV and now you want a HD DVR box to go with it, so you call DIRECTV and they charge you $199.00 for the box and they expect us the installer to drive our own Van to your house and change the box and run a second cable line an set it up for FREE! And we have to pay for the wire out of our pockets. They only give us the Boxes an Dishes everything else we pay for, doesn't matter if you live 1 or 50 miles from our house DO IT FOR FREE!!! Now I don't know about you but it cost me money just to start my van let alone drive it. The reason for us to do it for FREE is because you are already a customer so you're only setting up a new box. And if you ever had a HD DVR box setup in you home then you know the installer will be their at least 1 hours FOR FREE!!! So lets see 45 min drive to your house 1 hours to setup and do paper work, 23 miles at 12 miles per gallon now the drive to your next job,, HEY WAIT!!! I just wasted like 3 hours of my time, gas supplies for free, well not free for me. DIRECTV doesn't care about us and what it cost us to do the job just do it. Last month DIRECTV made $13,600 in JUNE alone by charging us for being late to a job and that's only for 20 different cities. Now if you know your going to be late they don't care why just pay your $100.00 and do the job also and 95% of the jobs we do don't even pay $100.00. I know a lot of people that read this stuff won't believe it but just ask anyone that works for them and ask about the 10 or 11:00 pm nights and working Sundays & holidays then you will see what I am saying is true.
