Today August 16th I was in the Horseheads Byrne Dairy (Ithaca Rd and Route 13) I was first in line and was waiting 2 or 3 min. Not a big deal... Then the line grew and grew... 2 people were doing something by the ice cream/sink area and 1 was outside smoking. The Subway employee was waiting on her customers and running around trying to find someone to assist us. Another customer that had been waiting in line asked if there was a cashier... A guy from from the Ice cream area yelled "yeah in a minute" (it was loud and rude) I think we all would have appreciated a "oh yes just one second please", or "I am sorry for the wait we will be right with you"... So frustrated with how we were spoken to I said "in a minute I am going to go somewhat else" His reply?"Good go somewhere else" (in the same tone) in that same moment the smoker returned and walked up to the register and just looked at all of us again no appology, no thank you for waiting. At that moment I had decision to make I could have continued sharing my thoughts on their lack of customer service or I could walk out. I did exactly that I left my items on the counter and left furious! I have worked in customer service my entire life and regardless of how you are feeling or how you dislike your job you keep it in and treat the customer with respect. While talking w my family about this I found out they have all had seperate issues with both of these employees. One of us if not all of us are in that store everyday until today. Not long ago there was a great staff in that store, employees who were friendly, caring and wanted to know the regular customers it was enjoyable to visit. It is sad that is no longer the case. I was able to go to another nearby store and ended up being cheaper... People will shop where they are repected and appreciated. I just thought you as a company would appreciate knowing how you are being represented.
