I was at food town off Pinemont and 5367 Antoine Dr antoine, Houston TX. There was an elderly man in front and I was in the 15 or less line. The cashier was very rude to the elderly man stating since he had two more items than 15 he had to wait in another line. Keep in mind this was about 1p and the store was full every line had 5 or more people waiting in other lines, with this one express line with no waiting. She made the older man go to another line, which was ridiculous. When it was my turn the lady said u have 15 or less, i said i dont know but u have no one in this line n if i have more than that im not moving, So-She got loud and rude and I said "do u have to call a manger or what cuz i dont like ur attitude"know. Then "Ken Johnson" the floor manger said "sorry she is right we cant check u out in this line if there is more than 15 items. "and the checker preceeded to say i had an attitude, but I let Ken know that she had an attitude with the old man too. I said well sir i have 15 items but ur telling me now i see all these lines full and this one is open ur going to make customers wait while ur employee get ugly with customer and is doing nothing. He said "yeah" then I called the man an idiot, and just left. I dont like how they allow there employees to talk to people anyway they want and have no business ethics.
I left even though i needed the groceries because i would rather deal with educated people who know that the way u treat ur customers has an impact on business. I would rather go some place where the managers have enough since to want to make money and care about what is around them.
Ken even made a comment "I get paid good", which i could careless about. Abviously not enough or he would care more about his job.
I would require that all employees learn to talk to customers professionally and managers "ken" especially.
