I was informed that http://manthissitesucks.com AKA http://singsnapsucks2.com was using my first and last name on their site in January. I requested them to remove my name and no longer mention me on their site or I would hire an attorney. They IP banned me for this. I was kept informed that the site's members were using my name and photos (without my permission) in an extremely derogatory manner.

I have chronic depression and anxiety. The activity by many of the members of this site caused me so much distress that I felt suicidal. I had to seek therapy, not covered by my insurance, for help to get through this major depressive episode.

My husband insisted we contact the police and hire a lawyer. A detective from our local police department viewed the site, took several screenshots, and created a report. This report was given to our attorney.

The lawyer sent a letter to the site and the hosting company to please stop using my name and photos. Rather than discontinuing to use my name, they replaced it with a nickname but they were sure to let everyone know, publicly, who was being referred to. The nickname used is 'Crazy Mental Psycho Chick' or 'CMPC'.

The site created a folder titled 'Crazy Mental Psycho Chick' dedicated to saying hateful things about me, taking content of mine from another site, and lying about and belittling me consistently. All of this was public for a long while and finally it was set to private and password protected for people who had to apply for access. People with access kept me informed of the type of content in this folder.

This site also took a video my husband made on another site, breaking copyright, and uploaded it to http://youtube.com where they made derogatory comments about him. Http://www.dmca.com / did a 'take down' on the video.

All in all this site has left me emotionally scarred and leery of sharing anything on the sites I frequent. I have stayed away from the site (as was recommended by various people) but I have been kept informed that I am still a target of their hatred.
