I am an home owner and insured my house with Allstate for 10 years.
In the last few years we had some damaging storms and because my house was affected twice, I filled claims w Allstate and they handled them through a National Catastrophe Team, under National Emergency circumstances and in my opinion with govermmental help (even if they claim that is not the case).
Because of this claims they sent me a letter to let me know that they will not renew my policy when due.
Is this legal, can they decide to do so when they have to take a loss, did they have any cap on theyr proffits before, what about the customers gains and losses? How can we be protected against such practices???
Please help me to do the right thing and may be some other home owners as well.
