About 2 months ago I called this place and asked how much was it to rebuild a transmission for a 2000 Volkswagon Beetle and I was quoted 550.00 complete. I saved this money up, because I didn't have it at the time. I called this individual back on 5-4-11 to remind him that I had already spoke to him and wanted to get my transmission rebuilt. He then quoted me 450.00 to rebuild it. I told him that I was getting it towed to his place to get the work done.
After the car was at his place, I called him on 5-5-11 to check on my car and he said that he need me to sign a work order in order for him to start on it. So I went to this place, which was not a shop but seems to be his home were he lives. (red flag) I ask him again about rebuilding the transmission and how long would it take. He said 425.00 at that time and said that he should be calling me by Monday, unless he ran into a problem. I did not hear from him not until Tuesday. He called an said that he find a transmission for 2800.00 at LKQ and that's the best that he could do, an that he had already broke down my car and I would owe him 450.00 for the breakdown. My complaint is that this man runs a game with people, that he already knows that he can't do it for the price he quoted you but suckers you in under false pretenses to cheat you out of money. How can you quote a price without researching the parts first.in this day and time, money is to hard to come by and we don't need business like this one serving honest people that are decieved by scums such as this man.
