I took my pickup truck to turn in for scrap. Their advertised rate is $220 per ton. We loaded the back of the truck with 2 and one half tons of steel for more weight to get more money. We were weighed on entry to the yard. The man in the yard says "We have to cut this one, its too long, so its $150 per ton." I asked him what about all the steel we loaded in the back and he says that stuff is OK. At the office they paid us $150 per ton for all of it. I asked what about the steel in the back its supposed to be $220 a ton, they said we cant do it like that and gave us $150 per ton. When I complained they said to get out of here or we will call the cops. Ripped us off for $300 and a half days work for 2 men.
